About UNF Shakespeare
UNF Shakespeare
is a collaborative faculty/student organization housed in the Department of
English that specializes in touring original adaptations of the Bard’s plays
throughout Northeast Florida. This year, director Will Pewitt’s concept for a
multilingual version of Othello is being performed by a stellar cast and
crew of UNF students and alums to highlight the tragedy’s enduring significance
with new resonances.
2024 Shakespeare Association of America Conference
With your
contribution of any size, you will assist in helping UNF’s students seize a
truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as the Shakespeare Association of America
has asked if this multilingual play can be performed at its April 2024
conference in Portland, Oregon. The show’s performances will run this Fall, but
the organization will be prepared for a second run in Spring to take advantage
of this unique experience.

hotel rooms, and meals that will allow members of the cast and crew to share
their work and raise UNF’s profile with scholars and audiences across the
